Cross-country drive during the pandemic
During the great pandemic of 2020, I decided to drive cross-country and explore the landscapes of the USA. From Santa Clara to Flagstaff, Arizona. Flagstaff is about 6000 ft. above sea level, and is surrounded by the desert, mountains and a lovely ponderosa pine forest. On to Albuquerque, New Mexico, which is located on the high desert. And then to Amarillo, Texas, a city in the Texas panhandle. From Texas to Port Charles, Louisiana and then via Mississippi and Georgia to Naples, Florida.
Time with family in Naples during the pandemic was delightful. My mom Saroja, sister Subha, brother-in-law Jim, nephew Jay and his girlfriend Sarah and I spent our days working, cooking together, solving jigsaw puzzles and sunning by the pool. We celebrated Jim’s 60th bday at Naples.
I was able to do a full copy-edit of the manuscript for books 1 & 2 and felt a great sense of accomplishment.
